Crunch Doha CEO and Co-Founder Nuwaid Pocker said: “Although Crunch Doha promotes a healthy lifestyle through actively engaging in sports and fitness activities day in and day out, National Sports Day is a great opportunity for us to bring people together in a fun, yet rewarding series of sports activities and health-oriented events."
He added: "These were as well meant to remind them of the long-term impact that an active lifestyle has on the Qatari community as a whole, toward realizing the Qatar National Vision 2030 through the wellbeing and health of a society that can actively lead on and drive change.”
On the sidelines of the tournament, participants challenged their fitness and physical abilities through a number of live exercises, including pushups, Kettlebell swings, skips and deadlifts.
During the event, Minister of Transport and Communication Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti and Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al-Baker visited Crunch Doha’s corner and participated in the sports activities.
Crunch Doha is currently running a drawing competition, where kids have to draw their favorite sporting activity, which is then posted on the company’s Instagram account. The drawing with the biggest number of "likes" wins a bicycle, while the runner-up gets a free scooter.
As for the adults’ competition, participants need to write down their own fitness oath and photograph themselves with it.
The deadline for both competitions is Feb. 21.
